Brasilia is not only a planned city but also a planned capital. Brasilia, the capital of Brazil, was inaugurated on April 22nd, 1960, in the central area of the country. Just five years before, the area resembled a desert, with no people, scarce water, few animals and plants. Then President Juscelino Kubitschek invited the best Brazilian architects to present projects for the new capital. Brasilia is a combination of beauty, simplicity and functionality and has just been credited to be the heritage of UNESCO. One more thing, Brasilia is promising to be the host of World Cup 2014. Let's pay a visit to this unique capital:
President Juscelino Kubitschek
The center of the city is situated on Eixo Monumental Avenue
Brasilia is the first capital which was built in the 20th century
Great butterfly- shaped capital
Lago do paraná Lake
Estádio Mané Garrincha Stadium
Shopping Mall Brasilia
My favourite is traveling. I love to write about beautiful destinations and tourism events.
